Brooklyn Bridge Park / DUMBO

An acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, DUMBO is a neighborhood of cobblestone streets and spacious buildings that were once a hub of industry in Brooklyn. It is now home to artists and families as well as art galleries, performance spaces, popular restaurants, and plenty of eclectic boutique shops. Our DUMBO ferry terminal is located within Brooklyn Bridge Park, an 85-acre oasis along the East River. The railing on the historic Fulton Ferry Landing (at Pier 1) is inscribed with Walt Whitman's famous poem, "Crossing Brooklyn Ferry". Whether you're spending the day in the park or exploring what the neighborhood has to offer by way of contemporary design and book shops, hand crafted snacks and drinks, or just appreciating the spectacular views, the neighborhood of DUMBO has endless possibilities for fun.
